Shingles are accepted at the Brown County Waste Transfer Station. Only clean shingles can be recycled at a rate of $16 per ton. Clean Shingles include asphalt shingles with nails and tar paper.

Shingles that do not meet these criteria will be accepted at the Gate Rate at the discretion of the scale operator.

Brown County no longer accepts mixed Construction and Demolition (C&D) debris for recycling, due to poor recycling markets. C&D will continue to be accepted at the Waste Transfer Station at the Gate Rate.
