Shingles

The following types of shingles are accepted for recycling:

Clean Shingles - includes asphalt shingles with residual amounts of nails, flashing and paper

Dirty Shingles - includes asphalt shingles with metal, paper and plastic mixed together. Must not include wood or cedar shakes

Any shingles not meeting these criteria will be accepted at the Gate Rate at the discretion of the scale operator

Brown County no longer accepts mixed Construction and Demolition (C&D) debris for recycling, due to poor recycling markets. C&D will continue to be accepted at the Waste Transfer Station at the Gate Rate.
