Monthly Challenge: You CAN Take It With You

Another month begins! This month we are focusing on remembering your reusable water bottles, utensils, and containers when you leave your home. By taking these things along with you, either to work, restaurants, or to your Great Aunt's annual holiday party, you reduce the amount of single-use take home containers you might have used instead.

You do not need to spend a fortune on your reusable items. I have lost track of the number of times that I have come home with my leftovers in a margarine container or munched on granola that was perfectly portioned into a jam jar. Keeping these items out of the recycling bin and stacked neatly along with my plastic food containers has made all the difference for me.

Many public places have water fountains (bubblers) that make travelling with a water bottle or canteen ideal. Just refill with clean cool water and eliminate adding yet another plastic bottle to the recycling bin.
